Major update for Khanfar Phase-Based Direction Finding with significant improvements to calibration, alignment, and stability, addressing key issues in phase-based direction finding.
What's Fixed
- Calibration System: The software now includes a proper calibration workflow that accounts for phase offsets between receivers. This addresses the lack of a calibration system to determine complex phase correction.
- Sample Alignment: Added cross-correlation based sample alignment to ensure the samples from different SDRs are properly time-aligned, fixing the unaligned samples issue.
- Dither Compensation: To address the driver timing jitter problem, the software now includes a sample averaging system that selects the most phase-stable samples from multiple captures.
- Alternative Direction Finding Method: Implemented an amplitude-based method as a fallback that works even with uncalibrated hardware.
